Paolo Robaudi is an Italian wedding photographer specializing in documentary proposal, engagement and wedding photography. He is on a quest to document remarkable love stories and the people who make them possible. Based in Milan, his photography studio is focused on serving clients in Italy and abroad. Paolo Robaudi Photography is also available for select destination wedding photography commissions. Our artistic approach presents a blend of documentary photojournalism and fashion-forward imagery. Photojournalistic wedding photography takes its cue from editorial reporting styles and focuses more on candid and unposed images with little photographer interaction. I work on this way too, artistic photography contemporary/fashion-based wedding photography, photojournalistic images of the events of the day are combined with posed images that are inspired by editorial fashion photography. This style often involves more innovative and dramatic post-processing of images. The emphasis in contemporary photography is to capture the story and atmosphere from the day, so the viewer has an appreciation of what the wedding was like, rather than a series of pre-determined poses.
I speak English fluently (Broccolino style) and don’t mind helping out with translating if there are some language problems. If your wedding party is mixed with English and Italian speaking guests that’s no problem, I can communicate with both. To some up my style of photography I’d say “it is fashion oriented modern contemporary classical candid pseudo photo-journalistic reportage portraiture with details…” At this point I can hear you cry “What on earth is that!” What it means is that I do not believe you can completely photograph a wedding in one style of photography so you have do them all in order to get the most extensive coverage of probably the most important day of your lives so far. I leave you to enjoy your wedding day without having a photographer in your face, I prefer to work unnoticed from a distance to capture emotions and spontaneity, most people say they were unaware of me at work. However, if necessary I will guide you and do my best to make your day go perfectly.
I prefer to shoot a whole wedding rather than just a part of a wedding as I like to cover the whole story of your wedding day. Generally I have found that 10hrs are normally sufficient. If you require more than 10hrs then let me know. If you really don’t want me to photograph your whole wedding I will also consider doing less than 10hrs. I just prefer to cover the whole wedding in detail from an artistic point of view as this allows me to create the best album possible. If you are having a welcome dinner and want that photographed too then let me know and we can sort something out. I also do engagement and honeymoon shoots.
